Donkey Hikes
Ready for an adventure?
Brays & Brews offers hikes with donkeys through the Texas Big Country on our 160 acre ranch! Yellowhorse Ranch is located 1 hour north of Abilene.
Hikes range from easy to moderate through varied terrain & native Texas vegetation. Routine hikes can accommodate 1 to 6 persons. Inquire about larger groups.
Hikes take about an hour to an hour and a half. Hikes can be scheduled year-round, but morning and evening are best in the summertime due to the Texas heat during the day.
Our burros carry beverages and your provided snacks in their pack saddles on your hike. Guests have an opportunity to interact with and lead the donkeys on a memorable hike through beautiful ranch country. On your hike, you may encounter our longhorn & Scottish Highland cattle, deer, coyotes, roadrunners, and other wildlife!
Add-Ons include campfires with s'more, picnics, brunch with burros. Contact us for special requests.
PRICING
Hikes are scheduled by appointment only. Hikes $100 for first person, and $25 for each additional person.
DO's & DON'Ts
DO bring bug spray and sunscreen to ensure an enjoyable experience.
DO wear close toed shoes (required).
DON'T bring pets. We love dogs – but please make other arrangements for your dog for the safety of all of our animals.
